The initial thought… clues
I first started thinking about writing when I worked a season in Ibiza about 10 years ago. However, I was still too much in my own pain and head from past trauma that I couldn’t face sharing my experience. Sure, I had some crazy stories from Ibiza but I wondered what I could contribute to potential readers … you guys. But then I found yoga and mindfulness… and integrated it into my coaching and psychology which have all given me clues about navigating life more wisely and with greater ease. It doesn’t mean I don’t make mistakes but I’m better at fixing and learning from them.
Why now…
Today, even though it seems that every day I know less, I’ve managed to break some of my habits and to find some freedom from the dark clouds. Because of my training as a coach and yoga teacher as well as my background in psychology and mindfulness, I am starting to quieten my anxious mind. Therefore, I now feel ready to share some of my learnings and tips. I don’t pretend to be a psychologist or a doctor of any sort but if my story and general trial and error can help others, then I’ll be happy to have helped someone else. Of course, I would also love to help more and perhaps even work with you. My greatest sorrow today is that we are destroying ourselves and the world around us and yet, there is so much we could be doing to help each other.
The start of a journey… yoga, mindfulness, psychology
Of course my story isn’t that harrowing and of course others out there have to deal with so much more but through yoga, mindfulness, psychology, coaching and my dogs, I’ve discovered a world that I hope I can help others find. For those who remember the film the Matrix, the experience is like taking the red pill and watching the fabricated reality melt away to reveal some deep truths, many of which I’m still searching for.
